Since our house was pretty much move-in ready when we bought it, we haven't had to do any major improvements. But Jackson's room and the kids' bathroom were both in need of a new paint job.
Jackson's room was a really weird brownish beige, which did not coordinate with his green/blue/turqouise bedding and accessories. We've been wanting to paint it since we moved in, but didn't get around to actually painting it until last month. Steve picked the colors: two different shades of blue and a yellow for the painted "chair rail" stripe. I managed to get the room painted in one weekend. We think it looks SO much better than it did before.
Here are some pictures of Jackson's room before and after we painted.

I also decided that the kids' bathroom was WAY too white, so I chose two different shades of turquoise for the walls and added some wainscoting to the wall opposite the toilet.

You can see a little bit of the wainscoting in this pic:Pic of the two paint colors:
So those are two of the projects we've worked on recently. Next room to get a fresh coat of paint will probably be the kitchen.
